Come up with a Name That Sticks

Every fundraiser needs a memorable name. Make yours stand out by making it fun and unique about your event’s mission. Helpful hint: Rhyming is always a good path to take.
Think Big, but Be Realistic

Set a financial goal that challenges you but is also within reason. It’s always better to breeze past an easy goal rather than fall short of a super difficult one. Try writing your target amount on posters and invitations to get people more motivated to reach it!

Tell a Good Story

What cause are you raising funds for? Who will it benefit? Why are you passionate about it? People want to know the who, what, why, and where of it all.

Get the Kids All Excited

The best way to spread awareness is word-of-mouth. If you want to increase attendance, there’s nothing better than happy, excited children chatting away about the awesome time they’re going to have. Motivate your students to promote the event at school assemblies, after-school activities, in the grocery store, at home, church—anywhere and everywhere! The more people who know about it, the better.

Don’t Forget to Follow Up

Make sure to be in touch with your donors. Let them know how it went, how much money was raised, and how much fun was had! It’s important to make sure you build a relationship and establish trust for future fundraisers.
