How Far Ahead Should You Plan a Birthday Party?
4 to 8 weeks out: pick the date and package
Start with the birthday kid: who they want there and what they love right now. Then choose a package and book online. Party packages need to be booked ahead. Check the Saginaw Public School District calendar before you pick a date, since breaks and early-release days change who can come.
2 to 3 weeks out: invitations and a theme
Send invitations and settle on a theme. Keep it simple: the birthday kid's favorite color, character or team is plenty. A Detroit Red Wings fan in the family? Jerseys and team colors make an easy theme. Order the cake now if you are bringing your own.
1 week out: confirm your headcount
Update your reservation to the number of kids you expect. Adding kids on party day is not guaranteed, because party areas have a fixed capacity. Plan table decorations: balloons, banners and centerpieces are welcome; balloon arches are not.
Party day: let the birthday star shine
Arrive a little early so the birthday kid can settle in. Every family gets a matching Kid Check® UV hand stamp at the entrance. Then it is games, the Birthday Show and the Ticket Blaster moment the birthday star will talk about for weeks.
More to Do on Party Day
Every Chuck E. Cheese has the games, the Birthday Show and Chuck E. himself. Some stores add more for the party to enjoy.
The Adventure Zone adds climbing and active play.
