CHUCK E. CHEESE LIGHT-UP RING AND STAR GLASSES

Chuck E. Cheese's* is voluntarily recalling its Light-Up Ring and Star Glasses. The ring comes in blue, green, purple, yellow, and pink colors, and the glasses come in a red color. The Light-Up Ring was either sold as part of a promotional treasure chest cup from August 2009 through June 25, 2010 or distributed, at no cost, during several Parent-Teacher Association conventions in April 2009, July 2009 and March 2010 through May 2010. The Star Glasses were distributed as part of our Birthday Star package beginning April 2010 through August 2010.

If crushed or pulled apart, the plastic casing on these products may break and possibly expose the batteries, which could pose an ingestion hazard to children.

If you have one of these products, please bring it to your local Chuck E. Cheese's, where you may choose to receive: for the Light-Up Ring either a refund of $1.00 plus 4 Chuck E. Cheese's tokens or a Soccer promo-cup plus 4 Chuck E. Cheese's tokens, or for the Star Glasses either a refund of $4.99 or our Flashing Hands prize product.

5. My ring and/or glasses appear to be operating okay. Can I continue to use it?

No. Even though your product appears to be safe and has passed applicable consumer product safety standards, we are asking all customers to immediately stop using the product and participate in the recall by returning the product to your local Chuck E. Cheese's.

7. I no longer have the receipt for the product. Can I still return it?

Yes. You can still return the product without a receipt.

8. How many of these products have been sold to consumers?

Chuck E. Cheese Light-Up Ring: We estimate that approximately 1,055,000 units have been sold at Chuck E. Cheese's locations or distributed at parent-teacher association conventions.

Star Glasses: We estimate that approximately 30,458 units have been sold at Chuck E. Cheese's locations.

9. Where have these products been sold?

Each was made available through our company-owned and franchised restaurants in the United States and Canada. We also distributed the rings during several parent-teacher association conventions.

10. What steps have been taken to notify consumers who have already purchased the any of these products?

We have alerted the both the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada. We have also (i) sent a message to our 3 million plus Email Club members; (ii) posted a bulletin on our website; and (iii) placed recall notice posters in each of our Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant locations.
