A Message From Our CEO, June 27:

Dear Valued Chuck E. Cheese Guest,

I am writing today to express my heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming support you have shown our Company and our local teams as we work to overcome the financial strain of COVID-19. This has been a difficult time for our business as it has been for many of your families. Seeing more of our restaurants and arcades open each week and reading how many of you wanted to be sure Chuck E. was safe and well has given us renewed energy. I am excited to be visiting many of our locations this weekend to share in the family fun!

In response to some questions we’ve been getting online, I also wanted to highlight a few key points about how we’re moving forward:

I hope this helps to answer your questions, and I hope to see you in one of our locations soon!

Best regards,

A Message From Our CEO, June 25:

Dear Valued Chuck E. Cheese Guest,

We are open for business and excited to welcome kids and families back to our Chuck E. Cheese restaurants and arcades with the highest safety protocols in place. As of June 24, we have re-opened 266 of our locations in the US and Canada, 15 of our domestic franchised locations and 22 of our international franchised locations. We are hosting birthday parties during dedicated hours, and we are ready to support fundraisers and events in the coming weeks and months. Our guest response has been overwhelmingly positive and that gives us even greater confidence to continue with our re-openings as planned. It is a great honor to be the place where kids can just be kids and families can safely enjoy wholesome entertainment together over great food.

Of course, the prolonged closures resulting from COVID-19 have put a strain on our finances, like so many in the dining and entertainment industries. While our team is excited to again roll out the red carpet for our guests and open more locations each week, it also became clear that decisive action would be necessary to address COVID-related financial challenges and best position our company to delight families and kids for generations to come.

To achieve these goals, on June 24, CEC Entertainment filed for voluntary protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and will use the process and legal protections it provides to eliminate debt and emerge as an even stronger company.

Please be assured: Chuck E. Cheese remains open for business and that won’t change. We are continuing to provide delivery and carry-out dining services (for a list of open locations click here) and are moving forward with re-openings as planned. Gift cards retain their full value and, as locations begin to re-open, birthday parties can be booked by private reservation during special hours. To put it simply, this financial process will have no effect on your dining or entertainment experience.

We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you and your family back for many more enjoyable, safe and fun-filled experiences!

Best regards,
