Kids Birthday Party Places in Aurora, CO: How to Pick the Right One

The right party place comes down to four things: your child's age, how many kids are coming, the weather and how much of the work you want to hand off. Here is how every kind of venue compares, with real prices, so you can choose in minutes. Chuck E. Cheese Aurora is one of your options, and the chart shows where it fits.

What Kinds of Birthday Party Places Are There?

Most kids' parties land in one of eight kinds of places, and each trades money, effort and age fit differently.

  • Home or backyard

The lowest sticker price and the most work. Best for small groups and the youngest kids, if you have the room and a rain plan.

  • Park or picnic pavilion

Space for a crowd and free play outside. Reserve the spot early, plan for weather and bring everything with you.

  • Indoor playground

Soft play and climbing sized for little kids. A strong pick for ages 1 to 5, rain or shine.

  • Trampoline park

Big energy for kids who love to jump. Expect waivers, grip socks and age or height rules.

  • Kids' family fun center

Games, a birthday show and food under one roof, built for ages 3 to 8. Chuck E. Cheese is the classic example.

  • Arcade and bowling center

Bigger games, bowling and laser tag for school-age kids, tweens and teens. Main Event and Dave & Buster's are examples.

  • Bowling alley

A classic for school-age kids. Bumpers help younger bowlers; shoes and food can cost extra.

  • Museum, zoo or craft studio

A guided activity for kids who love to learn or make things. Groups tend to be smaller, and spots book up.

How Much Do Birthday Party Places Cost?

Party places price two ways: a flat price for a set number of kids, or a price per kid with a minimum. At Chuck E. Cheese, the Fun Package is $99.99 for the birthday star plus five friends, plus a $5 online reservation fee: $104.99, or about $17.50 per kid. Mega and Ultimate are priced per kid, and the price varies by store.

Here is what a few national chains list on their own websites (checked October 18, 2026; prices vary by location): Main Event starts at $17.99 per person, and Dave & Buster's Level Up package starts at $29.99 per person with a 10-guest minimum. Altitude Trampoline Park in Fort Worth, Texas, starts at $25 per jumper with a 10-guest minimum. The comparison chart above has more.

To compare fairly, add up what each place leaves out: food, drinks, grip socks, a host, adult admission and favors. A higher package price that covers those can cost less in the end than a lower one that doesn't.

What Should You Ask Before You Book?

  1. Party host lighting birthday candles for a boy and his friends while Chuck E. Cheese looks on

What's included, and what costs extra?

Ask about food, drinks, playtime, a party host, socks, favors and whether adults pay to come in. At Chuck E. Cheese, every package includes two hours of unlimited games and unlimited soft drinks; the Fun Package's food is ordered separately.

  2. Boy aiming a basketball at an arcade hoops game at Chuck E. Cheese

How long is the party, and how much is play?

Some places split the time between play and a party room. Ask how many minutes the kids actually get to play, and what happens when time runs out.

  3. Father holding a young child while two kids pick out prizes at the Chuck E. Cheese prize counter

What's the deposit, and what if we cancel?

Ask what it takes to hold the date, what is refundable and by when. At Chuck E. Cheese, a $50 deposit holds the date and comes off the bill; the deposit and the $5 reservation fee are not refunded if you cancel.

  4. Two young boys smiling in a red race car arcade game at Chuck E. Cheese

    What are the rules?

Ask about outside food and cake, decorations, waivers, age or height limits and adding kids at the last minute. At Chuck E. Cheese, cake, cupcakes and ice cream are the only outside foods allowed, and adding kids on party day is not guaranteed.

Where Does Chuck E. Cheese Aurora Fit?

Chuck E. Cheese is built for kids ages 3 to 8, indoors, rain or shine. Every package includes two hours of unlimited games, unlimited soft drinks, a Play Pass card for each reserved kid, the Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Show and a turn in the Ticket Blaster for the birthday star. Every family gets a matching Kid Check® hand stamp at the entrance.

This store's floor has 62 different games and rides on 85 machines. Made for the youngest guests: Chameleon Paradize, Horse Carousel, KC Cobra and Lolly Crush.

This store also has a Trampoline Zone, so a trampoline party and a Chuck E. Cheese party can be the same party. Jump time can be added per kid to any package, grip socks come with it, and it is designed for kids 56 inches tall and under. The Superhero Playground adds climbing and sliding, much like an indoor playground; playground time is not part of the party packages, so ask the store about adding it.

This Chuck E. Cheese has hosted birthday parties since 1999. You'll find it at 14005 E. Exposition Ave., Aurora, CO 80012. The closest intersection is E Alameda Ave.

For nearly 50 years, Chuck E. Cheese has made the birthday kid the star of the show, half a million times a year.

When another place fits better: a tween who wants an hour of nonstop jumping may be happier at a trampoline park. A big family crowd on a sunny day has more room at a park. And a first birthday that is mostly grown-ups is often easiest at home.
