Trusted by families for nearly 50 years. Recognized by USA TODAY in 2026 as one of the brands parents trust most.
Chuck E. Cheese was named to USA TODAY’s first-ever Brands Most Trusted by Parents list — a recognition based on responses from more than 5,000 parents nationwide, developed with Plant-A Insights Group.
For nearly 50 years, we’ve built every part of our experience around what parents want most for their families: a place that is safe, clean, inclusive, and genuinely fun. We host more than 650,000 birthday parties a year across 500+ locations in 47 states and 17 countries. Every one of them happens inside a building cleaned to standards verified by an independent third party, secured by our proprietary Kid Check® UV hand-stamp system, and welcoming to children of every ability.

A snapshot of how Chuck E. Cheese earns the confidence of parents every day.
This recognition reflects something we work to earn every single day — the trust of parents who walk through our doors. We endeavor to make Chuck E. Cheese a safe place where kids can have fun. From investing in active play equipment that exceeds industry safety standards, to Kid Check®, to our cleaning protocols, to making birthday kids feel like the star of the show — every choice we make starts with what parents want.
Scott Drake — Chief Executive Officer, CEC Entertainment
Every Chuck E. Cheese policy, partnership, and safety system flows from four commitments parents have told us matter most.
Kid Check® UV stamps, equipment that exceeds ASTM F2970 safety standards, MERV-10 air filtration, and a guardian-required policy at every visit.
The first family entertainment center to earn the Ecolab Science Certified™ Seal — cleaning protocols audited against CDC, EPA, and FDA guidance.
Sensory Sensitive Sundays™ and Sensory Sensitive Birthdays — created in partnership with Autism Speaks — make space for kids of every ability.
Children’s data practices verified through PRIVO, an FTC-approved Safe Harbor program under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Kid Check® is Chuck E. Cheese’s proprietary UV hand-stamp security system. Every member of your group — kids and adults — receives a matching invisible-ink stamp at arrival. Before anyone leaves, our team scans the stamps under UV light to make sure every child exits with the family they came in with.
The system is in place at every Chuck E. Cheese location worldwide, and has been protecting families for decades. It’s one reason all guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire visit — drop-offs are not permitted.
Read the Safety FAQChuck E. Cheese was the first family entertainment center brand to earn the Ecolab Science Certified™ Seal — an independent third-party recognition that means our cleaning and disinfection protocols are informed by guidance from the CDC, EPA, and FDA, and audited against a documented science-backed standard.
Every location also runs MERV-10 air filtration and keeps wall-mounted sanitizer stations within reach throughout the building.
Most parents assume a safe family entertainment center meets some baseline standard. Chuck E. Cheese is built to clear the baseline — and then keep going. Here’s how our daily operating standards compare to the regulatory minimum.

A note on equipment: ASTM F2970 is the consensus industry safety standard for commercial trampoline courts. Chuck E. Cheese active play equipment is engineered to exceed it — and is operated under daily inspection routines.
Chuck E. Cheese created Sensory Sensitive Sundays™ in partnership with Autism Speaks to give children with autism and other sensory sensitivities a calmer way to experience the fun. Dimmed lighting, lower-volume music, a sensory-friendly arcade, and a quieter dining room run on the first Sunday of every month at participating locations.
In 2026, we expanded the program to include Sensory Sensitive Birthdays — the same lower-stimulation environment, applied to a private party experience so the birthday child can celebrate with their family in a way that genuinely works for them.
