The Four Pillars of Parent Trust

Every Chuck E. Cheese policy, partnership, and safety system flows from four commitments parents have told us matter most.

  • Safety First

Kid Check® UV stamps, equipment that exceeds ASTM F2970 safety standards, MERV-10 air filtration, and a guardian-required policy at every visit.

  • Verified Clean

The first family entertainment center to earn the Ecolab Science Certified Seal — cleaning protocols audited against CDC, EPA, and FDA guidance.

  • Built for Every Child

Sensory Sensitive Sundays and Sensory Sensitive Birthdays — created in partnership with Autism Speaks — make space for kids of every ability.

  • Privacy Protected

Children’s data practices verified through PRIVO, an FTC-approved Safe Harbor program under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

What Is Kid Check®?

Kid Check® is Chuck E. Cheese’s proprietary UV hand-stamp security system. Every member of your group — kids and adults — receives a matching invisible-ink stamp at arrival. Before anyone leaves, our team scans the stamps under UV light to make sure every child exits with the family they came in with.

The system is in place at every Chuck E. Cheese location worldwide, and has been protecting families for decades. It’s one reason all guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire visit — drop-offs are not permitted.

How Clean Is Chuck E. Cheese?

Chuck E. Cheese was the first family entertainment center brand to earn the Ecolab Science Certified Seal — an independent third-party recognition that means our cleaning and disinfection protocols are informed by guidance from the CDC, EPA, and FDA, and audited against a documented science-backed standard.

  • Create clean with hospital-grade disinfectants and food-contact sanitizers
  • Check clean through detailed staff training and periodic audits
  • See clean through visible front-of-house cleaning routines
  • Believe clean through the public Ecolab seal at your local fun center

Every location also runs MERV-10 air filtration and keeps wall-mounted sanitizer stations within reach throughout the building.

How Does Chuck E. Cheese’s Approach to Safety Go Beyond the Minimum?

Most parents assume a safe family entertainment center meets some baseline standard. Chuck E. Cheese is built to clear the baseline — and then keep going. Here’s how our daily operating standards compare to the regulatory minimum.

Comparison of Chuck E. Cheese safety standards vs. regulatory minimums
Safety Area Industry Minimum At Chuck E. Cheese
Trampoline equipment Meet ASTM F2970 Active play equipment that exceeds ASTM F2970, with required CEC grip socks and posted height rules
Cleaning & disinfection Local health code Ecolab Science Certified — informed by CDC, EPA & FDA guidance and externally audited
Air quality Standard HVAC filtration MERV-10 air filtration in every location
Child supervision Varies by venue All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire visit; Kid Check® UV stamps at entry and exit
COPPA compliance Self-attested PRIVO-certified — an FTC-approved Safe Harbor program independently verifying our children’s data practices
Inclusion ADA compliance Sensory Sensitive Sundays and Sensory Sensitive Birthdays in partnership with Autism Speaks

A note on equipment: ASTM F2970 is the consensus industry safety standard for commercial trampoline courts. Chuck E. Cheese active play equipment is engineered to exceed it — and is operated under daily inspection routines.

A Place Where Every Child Belongs

Chuck E. Cheese created Sensory Sensitive Sundays in partnership with Autism Speaks to give children with autism and other sensory sensitivities a calmer way to experience the fun. Dimmed lighting, lower-volume music, a sensory-friendly arcade, and a quieter dining room run on the first Sunday of every month at participating locations.

In 2026, we expanded the program to include Sensory Sensitive Birthdays — the same lower-stimulation environment, applied to a private party experience so the birthday child can celebrate with their family in a way that genuinely works for them.
