Chuck E. Cheese's fundraising events have given over $16 million to schools and nonprofits.
School fundraising events are all about raising money to provide outstanding extracurricular experiences—like after school clubs, class field trips, sports teams, music programs, and art classes. Fundraising can mean amazing, inspirational opportunities for children.
If that’s not sparking an idea, check out these fundraising ideas. We wrote a whole blog-full of great ways to fundraise for inspiration.
Where does your school district need assistance? Are there opportunities the children of your community don’t have? Fundraising is a great way to bolster programs that may not get the financial attention they deserve. Give something positive to your school that they’ve been missing with a fun fundraiser.
Pulling off a successful fundraiser isn’t hard with a little know-how. And when you’re planning it at a super fun play restaurant, it’s even easier to get kids to attend!
Every fundraiser needs a memorable name. Make yours stand out by making it fun and unique about your event’s mission. Helpful hint: Rhyming is always a good path to take.
Set a financial goal that challenges you but is also within reason. It’s always better to breeze past an easy goal rather than fall short of a super difficult one. Try writing your target amount on posters and invitations to get people more motivated to reach it!
What cause are you raising funds for? Who will it benefit? Why are you passionate about it? People want to know the who, what, why, and where of it all.
The best way to spread awareness is word-of-mouth. If you want to increase attendance, there’s nothing better than happy, excited children chatting away about the awesome time they’re going to have. Motivate your students to promote the event at school assemblies, after-school activities, in the grocery store, at home, church—anywhere and everywhere! The more people who know about it, the better.
Make sure to be in touch with your donors. Let them know how it went, how much money was raised, and how much fun was had! It’s important to make sure you build a relationship and establish trust for future fundraisers.
