Chuck E. Cheese’s® Kicks off ‘40 Years of Fun’ Celebration
Rip It Win It and #KidsGoingOn40 Promotions, Give Families Fun Ways to Help Chuck E. Cheese’s® Jump Start its 40th Year
DALLAS, Jan. 17, 2017 – America’s number one place for birthdays is now having its own birthday! Founded by then Atari CEO Nolan Bushnell as a Silicon Valley startup, the very first Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre opened in San Jose, Calif. on May 16, 1977, and since then, Chuck E. Cheese’s® has provided kids and families a fun dining and entertainment experience, Where A Kid Can Be A Kid®. Chuck E. and the band are excited to celebrate the brand’s 40th birthday on Friday, May 19.
“We’re so proud to herald 40 years of fun, food and play later this year and are thankful to all of the families who have supported us throughout the years,” stated Michael Hartman, chief marketing officer at CEC Entertainment, Inc. “For our birthday celebration, we’ve focused on creating new and fun ways to say thank you to the millions who have chosen to share their special family memories with us.”
It’s Easy to Rip It and Win It
Chuck E. Cheese’s is kicking off the 40 Years of Fun celebration with the return of its popular Rip It Win It promotion. The game pieces are redeemable for tickets, tokens or a grand prize – and every piece is a winner!
Five lucky grand prize winners will win a VIP trip for 4 to San Francisco, Calif. to visit the studio that brought you the blockbuster Skylanders movie (a $5,000 value).
