Chuck E. Cheese ‘Day Of Giving’ Supports More Than 300 Organizations Nationwide

CHUCK E. CHEESE ‘DAY OF GIVING’ SUPPORTS MORE THAN 300 ORGANIZATIONS NATIONWIDE

International Day of Families events serve up food, fun and funds to those in need

IRVING, Texas (May 18, 2020) – Chuck E. Cheese, the leader in dining and family entertainment, celebrated International Day of Families May 15 with a Day of Giving in every community it serves, donating pizzas, salads, appetizers, desserts, games, stuffed animals and more to over 300 organizations.

“We have a long history of giving back and helping the communities that have supported us and become part of the Chuck E. Cheese family over the past 40 years,” said CEC Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Sherri Landry. “We are honored to serve and provide meals to those who need it most as well as those who are working to save lives during these unprecedented times.”

Chuck E. Cheese teams around the world mobilized to give back to local organizations that make an impact in their communities, and in many cities their donations were increased by other community members who wanted to participate. Local team members and managers made deliveries to local hospitals, first responders, nursing homes, employees who have been on the frontline throughout the pandemic, nonprofits and other organizations in need.

Among the hundreds of groups served was the Kitsap, Washington, branch of Stand Up for Kids, an organization committed to assisting homeless and at-risk kids in obtaining shelter, food and hygiene supplies, all of which have become less available during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of Chuck E. Cheese, Stand Up for Kids was able to feed 30 of its Kitsap-area families.

In McAllen, Texas, the North McAllen Chuck E. Cheese team delivered a show of support at the Aida C. Escobar Elementary School fifth grade graduation celebrations. After participating in a parade to surprise their students and wish them well for middle school, Escobar’s staff and fifth grade teachers were treated to a complimentary pizza feast.

Nationally, the restaurants also donated a percentage of the day’s sales to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

“We stand together with Chuck E. Cheese as we continue to provide support to our local Boys & Girls Clubs and their communities, especially our youth who are trying to navigate during this difficult time,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of America Chief Development and Public Affairs Officer Julie Teer. “Our youth need us now more than ever. We are so thankful to Chuck E. Cheese for their dedication to our mission. We hope others will join us in supporting clubs in their local communities.”
