CHUCK E. CHEESE DONATES OVER 10,000 PIZZAS FOR ANNUAL ‘DAY OF GIVING’
Restaurants provide food donations to local organizations worldwide

IRVING, Texas (May 17, 2021) – Chuck E. Cheese, the nation’s No.1 family entertainment and dining venue, celebrated International Day of Families with a Day of Giving in the more than 150 communities that it serves. Restaurants from the U.S., Saudi Arabia and Mexico donated pizzas, salads, appetizers, desserts, games, stuffed animals and other items to more than 450 organizations.

“Our annual Day of Giving is something the entire Chuck E. Cheese team looks forward to each year as we all come together to support organizations in our own backyards,” said CEC Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Sherri Landry. “We know these organizations are making a difference for families in our communities, and we want to thank them on behalf of our teams and guests with this annual event.”

Chuck E. Cheese teams around the world mobilized to participate in this cause, with many personally delivering food and other items to local organizations and nonprofits, making a positive impact in their communities.

Among the hundreds of groups recognized was Orlando’s Fire Station 10, which serves Universal Orlando and the busiest portions of Interstate 4, as well as commercial buildings, single-family homes and garden apartments. Chuck E. Cheese team members delivered pizzas to the crew, which consistently rates in the top 1% of fire departments in the United States.
“No matter the challenge, the men and women of the Orlando Fire Department stand ready to support and protect our community,” said Orlando Fire Chief Benjamin Barksdale. “While the past year has seen new obstacles come our way, our mission never changed. We appreciate the team at Chuck E. Cheese for recognizing the great work that’s happening here at Station 10 and including us as they supported their communities nationwide today. “

In Dallas, the Chuck E. Cheese team served Moorland Family YMCA in Oak Cliff, which offers youth development programs to support healthy living and social responsibility. In the past year, the YMCA has also hosted COVID vaccine registration clinics and served as a community warming center during the historic snowstorms that gripped Texas in February. Chuck E. Cheese’s Day of Giving donation provided a pizza dinner for the YMCA’s youth football program.
